Tonsils function as part of the immune system so it stands to reason if they are constantly inflammed, you would focus on building the immune system, not removing part of it. Common sense tells me that there’s a purpose for all the body parts I was born with, and new research is showing that there lasting effects from removing organs we thought “useless”. This is seemingly just another issue contributing to the declining health of our children.

Tonsillectomy Linked to Weight Gain in Kids

(NaturalNews) Children who have their tonsil surgically removed early in life are significantly more likely to become overweight or obese by age eight, according to a study conducted by researchers from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands, and published in the journal Pediatrics.

The researchers measured the height and weight of 3,963 eight-year olds who were participating in the Dutch Prevention and Incidence of Asthma and Mite Allergy (PIAMA) birth cohort study. Every year up to age eight, the children’s parents had filled out detailed questionnaires supplying information about height, weight, surgical procedures and a number of other factors.

Analysis of the data showed that children whose tonsils had been removed (tonsillectomy) were 61 percent more likely to be overweight at age eight than children whose tonsils had not been removed, and 131 percent more likely to be obese. This statistic remained the same whether or not the adenoid glands were also removed (adenoidectomy), and after adjusting for possible complicating factors such as sex, birth weight, breast-feeding, smoking in the home, and maternal education, weight or smoking during pregnancy.

Adenoidectomy without tonsillectomy did not increase the risk of being overweight, but did increase the risk of obesity by 94 percent.

Rates of tonsillectomy have decreased significantly since the 1950s, but the procedure remains one of the most common surgeries in children in the United States. Tonsillectomy is usually prescribed to alleviate snoring, sleep apnea and other conditions related to upper respiratory blockage. Adenoidectomy is also common, normally prescribed to alleviate restricted nose breathing or chronic ear infections.

In order to be certain that tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy were causing obesity and not the other way around, the researchers looked at obesity rates at age two, finding no correlation with later removal of tonsils or adenoids.

The researchers suspect that removal of the tonsils or adenoids may cause a reversal of previously slowed growth, leading to excessive weight gain.

(NaturalNews) A study by the Harvard Medical School of Public Health confirmed that public health officials could convince most people in the U.S. to alter their daily lives, follow government mandates and do as they are told after only a small amount of hyping that a deadly global pandemic was eminent. It documented that people tend to look to the government as a sort of Big Daddy who has their best interests at heart. People think Big Daddy will take care of them and they don’t have to bother taking care of themselves. This mentality has led to an open season of government and government backed corporate abuse resulting in a decline in the standard of life and health in America. It suggests that people will willingly take vaccines they believe have been sponsored by the government without investigating these vaccines on their own. However, a new paper from leading vaccine authority Dr. Sherri Tenpenny shows this may be unwise. She reveals that flu shots merit close examination by those wanting to retain their health.

On June 11th, the decision was made by Dr. Margaret Chan, Director-General of the World Health Organization to declare a Level 6 Pandemic. This is a pandemic alert of the highest order possible. Under Level 6 conditions, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HSS) is able to declare mandatory vaccination under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP). There is no criteria listed stating what constitutes a threat.

The HHS web site says the Secretary may “issue a declaration…that provides immunity from tort liability (except for willful misconduct) for claims of loss caused, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from administration or use of (vaccine or other pharmaceutical) countermeasures to diseases, threats and conditions determined by the Secretary to constitute a present, or credible risk of a future public health emergency…” This means that if you or your child is harmed by a vaccine during these conditions, there is nothing you can do about it.

With this declaration, Big Daddy has made it clear that it would rather protect corporate interests than your interests. This means it is time to stop giving the government your blind faith. It is time to become educated about flu vaccines.

Here are Dr. Tenpenny’s well documented findings in the form of questions everyone should be asking.

What is in the regular flu shot?

What we have come to know as the seasonal flu shot is made from:

Egg proteins: including avian contaminated viruses

Gelatin: known to cause allergic reactions and anaphylaxis usually associated with sensitivity to egg or gelatin (anaphylaxis is a rapidly progressing, life-threatening allergic reaction)

Polysorbate 80, (trademarked at Tween 80): a preservative that can cause severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis.

Formaldehyde: a known carcinogen.

The shot also contains Triton X100 (a strong detergent), table sugar, resin that is known to cause allergic reactions, and an antibiotic (Gentamycin). Multi-dose vials also contain thimerosal, a preservative made with mercury, a known neurotoxin. Infants and children are most at risk for neurological damage from mercury because their nervous systems are still developing. Neurological dysfunctions are also common in adults who have ingested mercury.

Do flu shots work?

The flu shot does not work for babies. In a review of 51 studies involving more than 294,000 children, it was found there was “no evidence that injecting children 6 to 24 months of age with a flu shot was any more effective than a placebo. In children over the age of 2 years, it was effective only 33% of the time in preventing the flu. (“Vaccines for preventing influenza in health children”, The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2008)

The flu shot does not work in children with asthma. In a study of 800 children with asthma in which one half were vaccinated and the other half were not, the two groups were compared with respect to clinic visits, emergency department visits, and hospitalizations for asthma. The researchers concluded that no evidence was provided that the influenza vaccine prevented pediatric asthma exacerbations (Christly, C. et al, “Effectiveness of influenza vaccine for the prevention of asthma exacerbations.” Arch Dis Child, August, 2004, 734-5)

“The inactivated flu vaccine, Flumist, does not prevent influenza-related hospitalizations in children, especially the ones with asthma…In fact, children who get the flu vaccine are more at risk for hospitalization than children who do not get the vaccine.” (The American Thoracic Society’s International Conference, May 15-20, 2009, San Diego)

Adults are also not protected by flu vaccine. In a review of 48 reports including more than 66,000 adults, “Vaccination of healthy adults only reduced risk of influenza by 6%, and reduced the number of missed work days by less than one day (0.16). It did not change the number of people needing to go to a hospital or take time off work.” (“Vaccines for preventing influenza in healthy adults,” The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2006)

Although the hype is that the elderly must be protected, in a review of 64 studies in 98 flu seasons, for elderly living in nursing homes, flu shots were non-significant for preventing the flu. For elderly living in the community, vaccines were not significantly effective against influenza, ILI or pneumonia. (“Vaccines for preventing influenza in the elderly,” The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2006)

What about the new “Swine Flu” shot?

A new report from a World Health Organization advisory group predicts that global production of vaccine for the novel H1N1 influenza virus could be as much as 4.9 billion doses a year, far higher than previous estimates. The new H1N1 (“swine flu”) vaccine is being made by the pharmaceutical company Novartis. It will contain MF59, a potentially debilitating adjuvant.

MF-59 is oil-based and composed of squalene, Tween 80 and Span85. All oil adjuvants injected into rats were found to be toxic. All rats injected developed a disease similar to multiple sclerosis which left them crippled and dragging their paralyzed hindquarters across their cages. (Kenney, RT. Edleman, R. “Survey of human-use adjuvants,” Expert Review of Vaccines, 2003 p171)

Squalene causes severe arthritis (3 on a scale of 4). Squalene in humans at 10-20 parts per billion leads to severe immune responses, such as autoimmune arthritis and lupus. (Matsumoto, Gary. Federal health officials will probably recommend that most Americans get three flu shots this fall: one regular flu shot and two doses of any vaccine made against the new swine flu strain. (Washington Post, Wednesday, May 6)

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is talking to school superintendents around the country, urging them to spend the summer planning what to do if the government decides it needs their buildings for mass vaccinations and the vaccinations of children first. (CBS News, June 12)

Is mandatory vaccination possible?

In 1946, the U.S. Public Health Service was established and Executive Order 9708 was signed, listing the communicable diseases where quarantines could be used. Between 1946 and 2003, cholera, diphtheria, TB, typhoid, small pox, yellow fever, and viral hemorrhagic fevers were added to the list. In April, 2003, SARS was also added through Executive Order 13295.

In January, 2003, Project BioShield was introduced during Bush’s State of the Union Address. This created permanent and indefinite funding authority to develop “medical countermeasures”. The National Institute of Health was authorized to speed approval of drugs and vaccines. Emergency approval of a “fast tracked” drug and vaccine can be given without the regular course of safety testing.

In April, 2005, Executive Order 13295 added “Influenza caused by novel or re-emergent influenza viruses that are causing, or have the potential to cause, a pandemic.” Under this order, the president gave the secretary of HHS the power to quarantine, at his or her discretion.

The secretary of HHS has the power to arrange for the “apprehension and examination of persons reasonably thought to be infected.” A cough or a fever could put a person at risk for being quarantined for an extended period of time without recourse.

December 17, 2006, Division E: The Public readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act was added as an addendum to Defense Appropriations Bill HR 2863 at 11:20 on Saturday night, long after House Committee members had signed off on the bill and gone home for the holidays. Section (b)(1) states that the secretary of HHS can make a determination that a “disease, health condition or threat” constitutes a public health emergency. He or she may then recommend “the manufacture, testing, development, administration, or use of one or more covered counter measures…” A covered countermeasure is defined as a “pandemic product, vaccine or drug.”

Division E also provides complete liability protection for all drugs, vaccines or biological products deemed a “covered counter measure” and used for an outbreak of any kind. Complete liability protection has been given to drug companies for any product used for any public health emergency declared by the secretary of HHS. This means that pharmaceutical companies are now protected from all accountability, unless “criminal intent to do harm” can be proven by the injured party. They are protected from liability even if they know the drug will be harmful.

What can I do about all this?

Here are a few of Dr. Tenpenny’s suggestions. You can add your own ideas to this list once you let your mind wrap itself around this issue.

Give this information to everyone you know and love. Contact local first responders (EMTs, paramedics, fireman, etc). Tell them what will be in the flu shots and that they will be the first ones to get them. Tell local police and discuss your concerns about mandatory vaccination. Contact local city council members about your desire to preserve your liberties. You will need their support to maintain your right to refuse vaccination.

This unsafe science ostensibly supplants millions of years of evolution with little or no scientific justification. In fact, recent research on GMO crops have reported yields to be between 4 to 20 percent less than conventional crops [1-6].

In the 1970’s when genetic engineered was pioneered, scientists believed the genome was static and genes could be altered in a uniform manner with the organism only expressing the one intended modification. As research progressed in the 1980’s, scientists scrapped the idea of the static genome and moved towards a dynamic genomic belief model. This came about from the realization that by inserting a new gene into a plant, a cascade of unintended consequences arose. Scientists found that there was no possible way to introduce a new gene into an organism and only get one intended result. The genes quickly changed based on a myriad of unknown circumstances that sometimes could not be repeated in the lab even though the exact same procedures were used. The levels of instability from these newly created organisms were overwhelming, but many scientists were silenced.

Safety has always been the number one priority of consumers when it comes to GMOs; antithetically, the seed companies’ only priority has been to increase profits at any expense. Therefore, it is no surprise that objective and unbiased researchers have recently added to the growing knowledge of the realities of the increased instability and unintended consequences regarding the long-term safety of GMOs. These researchers recently found clear links among the consumption of GM-corn and decreased fertility, immunological alterations in the gut and the exacerbation and creation of allergies.

Fertility in GM-Fed Mice
Scientists in Austria recently conducted the first ever long-term multi-generational feeding study of Monsanto’s genetically modified (GM) corn (NK 603 x MON 810) in mice [7]. The study consisted of two groups: an experimental group, which was fed a 33% GM corn (maize) feed, and a control group, which was fed an equivalent non-GM corn feed. The mice were allowed to live a natural life and were monitored for four generations. Scientists recorded organ weight, gene expression, body mass, metabolism, life span and number of offspring of both groups of mice. The scientists found that mice fed GM corn had significantly less pups per litter than the control group on the third and fourth generation. Furthermore, pups whose parents were fed GM-feed weighed less at birth and at weaning and experienced significantly higher mortality rates than those fed non-GM corn. Lead author of the study Professor Zentek reported that there was a direct link between the decrease in fertility and the GM diet and mice fed non-GM corn reproduced more efficiently.

Gene Expression in GM-Fed Mice
Using a microarray analysis, the scientists reported that 1016 genes had been differentially expressed in the mice fed GM corn with most being up-regulated. Essentially, the GM-fed mice had hundreds of their proteins, which are encoded by genes, expressed in an increased or decreased quantity, which as a corollary altered certain biological processes in their bodies. For example, sensory perception, ion transport and the ability to breakdown proteins (proteolysis) were down-regulated or under-expressed, while the ability of the mice to regulate T-cells (a primary immunological response especially in fighting cancer), circadian rhythm regulation and the FAS signalling pathway (which is a major pathway for cell apoptosis and is important in the elimination of cancers) were over-expressed. This study elucidates the fact that biologic damage from GMOs may not manifest until the third generation and details strong evidence for the mandatory labelling, and even more so for the mass extinction, of these highly dangerous and unnecessary foods.

Immunological Reactions in GM Fed Mice
Italian researchers at the National Institute of Nutrition in Rome, Italy, recently published a study examining the effects of a 50 percent GM-corn (maize) diet on the intestinal immune response of mice [8]. The GM-corn was known as Monsanto’s transgenic MON810 and was created using an inserted foreign DNA sequence from the bacteria, Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) designed to protect against a fungus known as the Fusarium species. The study was conducted over 30 and 90-day periods respectively, with mice from two groups, weaning age (mean of 21 days) and old age (mean of 15 months). The study evaluated the peripheral and intestinal immune response to long-term GM-corn and non-GM corn consumption of each group across the two periods. The young and old mice were used because of the lack of research on these subsets as well as their potential susceptibility to immunological changes, more so than non-aged adult animals.

The results of the long-term study revealed significant changes in the immunophenotype of the gut, spleen, circulating lymphocytes and the level of serum cytokines of the mice fed GM-corn. Immunophenotyping essentially determines the expression of proteins by the cells. Any differences in the expression of proteins between the control and the experimental groups would be attributable to the GM diet. Specifically, the researchers found an increased presence of several cytokines in the GM fed mice, which are specifically involved in inflammatory and allergic responses by the body. The researchers also found an increase in the protein expression of lymphocytes (TCRγδ+ population). Within this population, the γδT cells reside in the gut and are associated with regulatory elements of the immune response, specific to infectious agents [9-11]. Elevated amounts γδT cells have been found in asthmatics, children suffering from food allergies, gastrointestinal symptoms and juvenile arthritis [12]. The GM-fed mice also exhibited significant alterations in the number of T and B cells, indicating a significantly abnormal immune response to the genetically altered feed. Furthermore, other researchers have found a newly expressed protein from the consumption of GM corn (50 kDa γ-zein), which is a widely known allergenic protein [13]. In conclusion, from the newly presented research it is apparent that ingesting genetically engineered BT corn not only invokes an anaphylaxis (allergenic) response within the body, it also deregulates several proteins, inhibits fertility and alters the overall immunological response by the body. Clearly, Monsanto whose sole goal is to control the world through food, has a lot of explaining to do.

(NaturalNews.com) Lately there have been many articles written about the importance and necessity of enzymes. That’s a good thing. Many of them have shared much important and vital information. In this article, I want to cover enzymes from a different point of view. A point of view that brings their importance to an even higher level than before.

What are enzymes? Enzymes are vital proteins within the body that are necessary for all of life’s functions. Without enzymes we simply could not live. All metabolism and metabolic processes that occur within the body require enzymes for them to take place. Without them, we simply would cease to function and would die pretty quickly if not immediately.

Enzymes are present in foods in their natural state, but they’re rapidly destroyed at temperatures above 116 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s for this reason that a raw foods diet is so healthy and why increasing the amount of raw foods that you consume is especially important in this age of dead and denatured foods. When we chop up a salad, juice fruits and vegetables, and chew our foods well, we’re releasing the enzymes contained within those foods which aid in their own digestion.

This saves a lot of our own limited supplies of Chi and enzymes from having to be used up to digest this food. As mentioned, all processes that occur within the body require enzymes to occur, but on a molecular and atomic level, all such chemical reactions require energy to take place… that’s where something even more important comes into play. That something is the existence and understanding of Chi (our life force) and how it comes into play.

Why is Chi so important?

As I’ve mentioned in many of my previous articles, Chi is really that unifying concept and force of the body. Since it’s necessary and absolutely vital for all processes to occur in nature which includes the human body of course, it’s a subject that can’t be overstated or ignored. Once you understand the nature of the universe and chi itself, you’ll see why learning to use and cultivate that necessary energy and element is so important to your life and especially your physical and mental health too.

In my twenty four years of Chinese gung-fu training which includes training in chi-gung for the same period of time, I’ve come to see more and more clearly this fact that Chi is truly the underlying substance of the universe and is the main regulator of health, fitness, strength and longevity in the human body. Having studied physics since I was a child which includes astronomy and chemistry I was somewhat skeptical about certain claims made by Chi-gung Masters regarding chi. I knew enough even before starting my martial arts training to know that it was very likely true, but still had to prove many things about it to myself. But as I was always open to learning new things, I took the words of my instructors at face value and trained hard and long in breathing, meditation and other special training methods of focusing and concentrating the chi that are used in martial arts.

More and more I came to see why so many of the ancient manuals talked about chi. It didn’t matter if it was a martial arts manual, meditation, or health and healing, chi was always the main focus. After so many years of training and tons of reading, researching, as well as my own experience and that of so many others, I now see clearly why as no matter what, chi that flows through the body is the true source of our life, health, spiritual and mental well being and so much more. My goal is to help as many as possible understand this as well.

Chi and Enzymes Together

Chi is the energy of the universe and it permeates every cell in our bodies and all matter. There is research out there that is largely ignored that shows that scientists have in fact discovered some hitherto unknown energy field that they can’t explain and doesn’t fit in with their current explanations of matter and the nature of the universe. Experiments with water and other matter have left more questions than answers. These experiments pointed to the existence of some other force that is somehow linking up all matter together. This is the only way that the odd behaviors seen during these experiments can be explained.

Military experiments done with DNA have shown that a person’s DNA changes with their thoughts and moods. Experimenters took a person’s DNA, and from distances up to fifty (50) miles away, observed simultaneous and instantaneous changes in the DNA that was fifty miles away, as well as the DNS inside the person in response to the moods and thoughts of the test subject. It was first done from one room to another and then in another building and finally to the fifty mile limit which is when the test was ended. There was no known law of physics or science that could explain how and why the person’s DNA that is no longer inside his body would still be reacting to the thoughts and moods of the subject. The only conclusion is that there is some unknown force that exists linking the subject’s DNA to the host no matter the distance or barriers between the two. As so many think that Star Wars is just fantasy huh?

It is in this context that chi becomes linked with enzymes. Since both are vital and necessary for life. The more we waste and deplete our enzymes, most of which are created by the pancreas and liver, the more we sicken our bodies, weaken our immune system and eventually shorten our lives. Remember that all chemical reactions in nature and the body require energy to occur. This happens when an electron jumps from the orbit of one molecule to another, eventually causing new compounds to be created or destroyed. For electrons to flow, something has to push them and make them flow. This always requires some kind of energy source. In the body, Chi is that energy source and that’s why its so vital to have enough chi or life force and to avoid those foods and activities that drain chi instead of preserving it and building it up.

When we live on a diet of mostly denatured and dead foods, we’re causing our bodies to use up tons of enzymes in the form of stomach acids and other compounds for the act of digesting our foods. Dead foods pretty much consists of anything that is packaged and processed. If it comes in a box or package or is overly processed and cooked, it’s going to be “dead” food. Why is it considered dead? Because processing and cooking, especially at high heat, destroys nearly all of the enzymes that are necessary for the food to give us more life. Instead, it drains our life and life force by using up most of our enzymes just to digest the food itself, a process which God and nature designed to occur mostly with the enzymes present in the foods themselves.

This is why juicing is such an important health regimen to get into since it extracts tons of enzymes, vitamins, minerals and more from the foods that we juice and gives us most of the beneficial elements in a concentrated natural form that most of us would not otherwise have access too. Unless you’re eating tons of natural fruits and vegetables every day, juicing is an excellent option. I recommend picking up a book or two about what and how to go about juicing for optimal health. There are many good books on the market today that teach you how and where to begin. It’s easy and fun… until it comes to cleaning the machine. The Chinese have known about this force and call it Chi and have spent millennia understanding it and developing techniques to make use of it too.

Toxic and Deadly Foods

I mentioned dead foods already and talked a little about what makes them dead foods. Now I want to talk about deadly or toxic foods and live foods. Briefly, deadly or toxic foods are also packaged and processed foods (candy, cookies, processed lunch meats, canned foods, frozen foods, etc), but these are foods that are made with ingredients that are known to be made with cancer/tumor/cell destroying substances in them. This, unfortunately, includes most foods in a standard grocery store today. Some ingredients on that list would include, but certainly not limited to hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils of all kinds, high fructose corn syrup (HFC), Monosodium glutamate (aka: spices, autolyzed or hydrolyzed anything, glutamic acid, yeast extract, etc.), Food colorings of all kinds (also known to cause ADHD, especially the Red food colorings like Red #40), refined sugars and salts and much more.

Live Foods

Now that we have covered dead and toxic/deadly foods, let’s cover the type of foods that we all need to eat a lot more of in this day and age. These foods are live foods. What are live foods? Very simply, it’s foods that are in their most natural state. Foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, sea foods and minerals such as seaweeds and the like. These foods are live because they have their living enzymes and chi present in the foods which have not been destroyed or altered by processing or by heat through cooking. These are the foods that we all need to eat on a daily basis. This is why juicing can be a great supplement to getting those live foods into our system if we don’t have the time or inclination to eat them raw. Though raw is always the best, juicing can go a long way to closing that gap.

Enzyme Supplements

Taking enzyme supplements is a very important habit to get in to and something that I recommend everyone do. More than any vitamin, mineral or supplement, enzymes are the most important thing to take on a regular basis with every meal. Unless your diet is at least 50% raw foods, preferably 75%, you should always take natural plant based enzymes with every meal. These not only ensure that you’re getting enough enzymes to properly digest the foods, especially if you’re eating packaged and processed foods, but they also save the body from using up your chi and enzymes needed to digest your meal. This helps to ensure that your body will have enough enzymes for other processes and life functions to take place.

The draining of our enzymes and overtaxing of our organs, especially the pancreas is one of the main reasons and causes of type II diabetes, which is essentially pancreatic failure. Since the pancreas creates most of the enzymes used in the body, by creating such a demand for enzymes due to wrong foods and over eating, we place a tremendous burden on this organ, which often times can’t handle the load. Modern diets consisting of dead and toxic foods, loaded with sugar in particular and refined sugar at that, place a huge load on the digestive system and the pancreas in particular. By consuming as much live foods as possible as well as periodic fasting as one is able, we can help take a great load off of our organs which in turn give us more energy, greatly increased immunity and help us feel great all the time.

Enzymes are also a vital part of the immune system. When they’re not busy digesting food, they travel around the body on housecleaning duty, clearing away dead cells, destroying cancer and tumor cells, bacteria, viruses, regenerating bones, skin, blood, muscles, cells and much more. Since the very act of digestion takes most of our enzymes (upwards of eighty percent and more), you can see how important it is to not only take plant based enzyme supplements, but to eat natural, live, living foods that are fresh and raw and have enough of their own enzymes to basically digest themselves.

It is for that reason that the Chinese and especially the Taoists practice something called “The Laws of Trophology”, aka –- The science of food combining. As author and martial artist Daniel Reid writes in his great book “The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity”, page 100:

“Correctly combining foods makes all the difference in the world to proper digestion and metabolism. Without complete digestion, the nutrients in even the most wholesome food cannot be fully extracted and assimilated by the body.

“Moreover, incomplete digestion and inefficient metabolism are the prime causes of fat and cholesterol accumulation in the body. A low-calorie diet of overcooked, processed and improperly combined foods will still make you fat and leave sticky deposits in your arteries, just as the wrong mix of fuels will leave carbon deposits on the spark plugs of an engine, clog the pistons, and create foul gaseous exhaust.

“On the other hand, if foods are properly combined for consumption, then regardless of how many calories or how much cholesterol they contain they will not make you fat or clog up your veins and organs, especially if at least half your daily food intake is taken raw.

“If one follows the rules of Trophology, there is no need to be a fanatic about controlling one’s diet, no need to count calories, and no need to worry about cholesterol.

“Note also that there is no such thing as a food that is 100 percent protein or 100 percent carbohydrate. What counts is whether protein or carbohydrate is the major nutritional element in any particular food.

“Ideally, one should consume only one variety of food at a single sitting. A glance at nature proves this point.”

Carnivorous animals never consume starchy items with their meat, but they do supplement digestion and occasionally purge their bowels by chewing on wild weeds that have medicinal properties. It has also been observed by bird watchers for centuries that birds eat bugs and worms at one time of day, seeds and berries, at another, but never both together. What makes modern man think that his digestive tract is so different from all other species in nature?

Even though traditional Chinese diet relies heavily on rice, a closer look at Chinese eating habits shows that, up until the mid-twentieth century, the rice was consumed according to the rules of Trophology.

By eating the right foods at the right time, we can greatly help ensure that our food is properly digested. Not causing conflicts in digestion and allowing foods to help digest each other and themselves will go a long way to saving our own vital stores of enzymes and our life force or chi. This will boost our immune system and increase our life span as well. It’s not just about adding years to our life, but adding life to our years.

So make sure to eat enough raw and fresh foods and juices daily consisting of at least 50% of your diet and take plant based food enzymes, not pancreatic enzymes which are not the same. Plant based enzymes work to break down foods in the stomach where as pancreatic enzymes derived from animal sources work best in the small intestine. By the time the food reaches the small intestine, most of the digestive work has been done in the stomach, so this is why we want to take the plant based enzyme supplements that work in the acid medium of the stomach.

“When not busy digesting enzyme-less food in the stomach, the body’s enzymes roam throughout the bloodstream and protect the entire system from all sorts of disease and toxic damage. This is one of the great benefits of fasting; the body’s entire enzyme capacity devotes itself to cleaning house, digesting and eliminating dead and damaged tissues and putrefied proteins, and healing in the construction of new cells… It is a well know fact that cancerous tumors almost always develop in the tissues that are severely toxic, such as smokers’ lungs, drinkers’ liver and gluttons’ colons. Enzymes should be consumed at the beginning of the meal so that they dissolve in the stomach by the time food arrives.” – P. 73 of “The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity” by Daniel Reid.

In this polluted and toxic world which is only getting more so by the day, we need to employ all the measures available to us to keep healthy and strong and to have the strongest possible body, mind and immune system we can. Taking 1-3 plant based enzymes with every meal and between meals is one of the single greatest ways to accomplish this goal. When you add proper whole food nutritional supplements, vegetable and fruit juicing, fasting, deep breathing, proper nutritional supplementation, meditation, physical strength training, avoiding toxins, chemical refined salts and sugars in the diet and such, you will have a solid foundation for health and longevity and will be able to withstand most if not all of the illnesses that are plaguing so many today.

It’s unfortunate that we have to take such measures to protect ourselves in such a toxic world, but the rewards both now and in the future are well worth the time invested in our health. To be able to defend against the enemies that constantly seek to rob us of our health, pollute our minds and bodies and take away our God given rights to be healthy and free from disease in a world so full of darkness today, we have to invest just as much time and effort in the truth and in our health, as those people are investing in the lies that seek to deceive and enslave us and cause so much pain and suffering now and premature death tomorrow, simply so they can make an extra buck from us all.

Practice deep breathing exercises such as the eight pieces of brocade, tai chi and other hard and soft chi-gung exercises daily to ensure a sufficient and constant supply of energy in the body. Since chi is used to create enzymes and so much more, having a sufficient amount is vital to all metabolic processes and can increase the rate of cell regeneration as well. Deep breathing and other breathing exercises also helps clean out toxins and pollutants from the cell and helps to keep the blood clean which is vital to health and longevity. The more Chi and enzymes we have, the greater our cells’ regeneration will be including all other processes that occur in the body. Without sufficient enzymes and sufficient chi to help power those enzymes, we simply have no life!

To see for yourself how vital enzymes are, try taking a good plant based enzyme with each meal for a week, then stop taking them and see and feel a difference in your overall digestion and energy levels. Most people will go right back to taking the enzymes once they see how much easier and better digestion is with the enzymes as opposed to without. The more we save our own stores of vital and limited enzyme production, the more we preserve our organs by taking a lot of unnecessary stress off of them which makes them stronger and healthier. This increases our overall energy and vitality, immune system and lifespan and is a simple and great way to help prevent and even overcome many illnesses should they occur. In natural healthcare, large doses of enzymes are even given to cancer patients and many other chronically ill patients since they help to dissolve and destroy cancerous and precancerous cells, tumors, viruses, bacteria and can significantly help with rebuilding the health and strength of the entire system.
